Background information

Oxford Health Policy Forum is a not-for-profit community interest company with proven expertise for driving change in health policy.

Since its inception in 2016, Oxford Health Policy Forum has quickly established itself as an expert player in health policy change, working in collaboration with medical, patient and policy experts and supported by a team of specialists in communications, editorial services and project management.

Oxford Health Policy Forum develops scientifically robust, evidence-based policy reports and follow-on initiatives to raise awareness and drive adoption of the recommendations. Our aim is to drive change in national, EU and global health policy, address the complex issues faced in our healthcare systems and ultimately benefit individuals living with life-changing conditions.

We have successfully developed campaigns in the following areas, with many more in development:

  • Doctor, who? The Changing Face of Medicine1
  • Time Matters: A Call To Prioritize Brain Health2*
  • Brain Health: Time Matters in Multiple Sclerosis3*
  • Improving Care For Patients With Acute Heart Failure4
  • Heart Failure: Preventing Disease and Death Worldwide5
  • Schizophrenia: Time to Commit to Policy Change6* (2022 update currently in progress)

*Active programmes

We have successfully launched reports at the European Parliament and received multiple endorsements from credible professional and patient advocacy organisations. The findings and recommendations from the reports have been presented at international scientific and health policy conferences and shared with parliamentary interest groups and professional bodies.

Oxford Health Policy Forum regularly hosts standalone meetings and events to raise awareness of campaigns and secures articles in a variety of publications to broaden our reach to our target audiences. Check out our campaign websites for further information about the impact of our initiatives.

We are actively looking for funding for ongoing, and new projects in areas of high unmet need, where there is a need for policy review, and where we can utilise our tried and tested process to benefit wider groups of patients.
